This calculator converts crop measurements from maxoom to pixel co-ordinates for hotspots on MagicZoom images.

maxoom uses a % based region method, to maintain resolution independence, where top, left, bottom and right are expressed as a % of 1, while MagicZoom uses a set of pixel based co-ordinates to define hotspots.

Using maxoom we can deliver dynamic images to MagicZoom for use as the inline image, zoom images, hotspots etc. Hotspot images can be dynamically cropped in maxoom and the co-ordinates passed as part of the image url, for example "top=0.43&left=0.57&bottom=0.66&right=0.8". All cropping in maxoom is based upon the actual size of the Master image, so in the case of the On/Off Switch hotspot, the Master image is 3508 x 3141 pixels and the MagicZoom inline image is 400 x 385 the maxoom co-ordinates above translate to 228,172,320,236 pixels and have been used to set the On/Off Switch hotspot region.
